Child Health Clinics
The Health Visitors hold weekly clinics at the Chamberlayne Children's Centre, Chamberlayne Road (next to Norwood School) on Wednesday mornings from 10.30 am to 12.00. No appointments are necessary. You can have your baby weighed and talk over any problems you may have, with your Health Visitor or Nursery Nurse. Developmental assessments for children aged eight months and three and a quarter years, are undertaken by the Health Visitors. You will receive an appointment at the appropriate time
Chronic Disease Management
The Doctors and Practice Nurses regularly monitor patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes, Asthma, COPD and coronary heart disease.
You may be asked to come to the surgery for medication reviews, blood pressure checks or blood tests. We would ask you to co-operate with these requests as we want to be able to offer you the best possible care.
Combined Tetanus and Diphtheria Vaccinations
Five doses of the above vaccine will cover you for life unless a new major injury is sustained 10 or more years after your last vaccination. Please ask at the reception desk if you are not sure whether you need a booster dose. If our staff cannot help you they will ask a member of the nursing staff for their advice.
Family Planning
All Doctors are happy to give Family Planning Advice.
Flu Vaccinations
Around September or October each year we encourage patients with chronic medical conditions e.g. heart disease, diabetes, asthma and those who are over 65 to have a flu vaccination.
Immunisations
Routine child immunisations are done at the baby clinic by a Practice Nurse. If your child is due an injection you can phone the surgery to book an appointment.

Charges will be made for some travel immunisations.
